Michael S. Hess, Founder, President: Twenty years experience within the solid waste management industry as senior executive, including significant Merger and Acquisition activity. From 1997 until founding the Company, Mr. Hess served as Vice President of U.S. Operations for Capital Environmental Resource Inc., a $120 million in revenue solid waste collection and disposal company, with operations in the Northeastern United States and Canada. During his tenure at Capital Environmental, Mr. Hess played an integral part in the acquisition and/or start-up and integration of eleven solid waste companies over two and a half years. From 1990 to 1997, Mr. Hess served as Market General Manager for Laidlaw Waste Systems, Allied Waste Industries, and USA Waste in Syracuse, New York and Washington, DC. Mr. Hess has also served as a Board member of the New York State Chapter of the National Solid Waste Management Assoc. and the Montgomery County Maryland Solid Waste Advisory Board. Mr. Hess attended Syracuse University, where he majored in Business Administration.
